The Senators went toe-to-toe with one of the NHL’s heavyweights Saturday. They just came up one goal short. If this game was a measuring stick, the Senators measured up just fine as they did everything but score when they needed a goal in the skills contest in a 2-1 shootout decision to the high-flying New York Rangers in front of a sellout of 19,310 at the Canadian Tire Centre.
